Welcome to the wonderful journey of Elementary Beginning Band!
This tab is specifically for the Beginning Band students attending: Oak Mesa, Grace Miller, Shull, and La Verne Heights Elementary Schools. I will be meeting with your children to talk about the band programs during the second week of school (August 25th - August 29th). Keep an eye out for paperwork and fliers that will come home with your child during that week. You will have one week to register your child for Beginning Band; The deadline for this is Friday, September 5th, 2025. Be sure to follow the instructions and scan the QR code below to register for your child's group in the BAND App. The BAND App is how I will communicate with you about all aspects of the Beginning Band program. If you need assistance with setting up the BAND App or register for your child's group in the app, please navigate to the BAND App tab in the MENU above; Or you can email me at z.brewer@bonita.k12.ca.us.
The first day of rehearsal for each school are as follows:
Oak Mesa Elementary School | Monday, September 15th from 1:00 - 2:15
Grace Miller Elementary School | Tuesday, September 16th from 1:00 - 2:15
Shull Elementary School | Wednesday, September 17th from 1:00 - 2:15
La Verne Heights Elementary | Thursday, September 18th from 1:00 - 2:15
Instruments are NOT NEEDED for this first rehearsal, attendance from parents is HIGHLY ENCOURAGED as the rehearsal will be informational. I will also hand out information about renting instruments during this first rehearsal, so if you have not rented an instrument by this point you will get information on how to do so. If you have ANY questions, comments, or concerns regarding renting an instrument feel free to contact me or wait until this first rehearsal to talk to me. IT IS BETTER TO WAIT AND MAKE A WELL INFORMED DECISION.

Here is the link to register your child for Beginning Band! Registration opens Friday, August 29th and closes Friday, September 5th.
Make sure you have downloaded the BAND App from the App Store or Google Play Store and created an account before you continue. For information about how to make an account, go to the "BAND APP" tab in the MENU above.
You can register your child for the BAND App in a couple of ways. First, you can click on the link listed next to your child's school; From here, you can select confirm to become a member or scan the QR code with your phone's camera. Second, if you open the BAND App and click on your profile, then click check invites, you can click "I got a QR code" to open your camera and scan the QR code listed when you open the link listed below or you can click "I got a Link" and follow the instructions listed on your screen.
Make sure you let the BAND App have access to your camera in order to scan the QR code once you click the link.
